Theresa Smith

PhD, OTR, CLVT

Dr. Smith is an occupational therapist with 28 years of experience, who has taught occupational therapy at the master’s level for 21 years and at the doctorate level for 6 years. Dr. Smith has taught courses in foundations, theory, cognition, professional reasoning, mental health, management, leadership, scholarly writing, vision rehabilitation, research methods, advanced qualitative research, and program development. In addition, she is a certified low vision therapist. Dr. Smith’s research has focused on low vision rehabilitation since 2007 and cognitive effects from breast cancer and its treatment since 2010. Dr. Smith has presented her research findings regionally, nationally and internationally.
