Susan Lin, ScD, OTR/L, FAOTA is an occupational therapist and health scientist. Dr. Lin is the former Research Director of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and is currently the Program Director for the post-professional clinical occupational therapy doctoral program at Marymount University. Her research interests include patient-centered outcomes research, stroke rehabilitation, rehabilitation treatment specification, and health services research.
She received her research doctorate in therapeutic studies from Boston University, her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University-Medical College of Virginia, and a bachelor’s degree in biology from the College of William and Mary. Her past leadership positions include Virginia Representative to AOTA Representative Assembly; Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) Clinical Effectiveness and Decision Science Advisory Panel member, Mentor Reviewer, Merit Reviewer, Ambassador; President of Pi Theta Epsilon, and Vice-President of the Virginia Occupational Therapy Association. Dr. Lin has received the Outstanding Occupational Therapy Alumni Award from Boston University, and the Fellow Award, from the American Occupational Therapy Association, as well as the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.
